"Excuses, excuses," Kaige replied, laughing quietly. "It's alright, I get it." His famous half grin lingered for a moment longer before disappearing as he opened his eyes and glanced at her. "I don't have to wait at all when it comes to finding out," he said, now smirking. "You didn't forget that I can read minds, did you?" he asked innocently, adding in a wink. "I could find out all your dirty little secrets right now if I wanted to." He paused for a moment and looked away. "But like I said, I don't really do that anymore so you should consider yourself lucky. I could find out a lot of stuff and use it against you." He grinned again. "But I'm a nice guy.... when I want to be."
When it came down to it, he really wasn't all that nice to start with. He may not be a complete asshole like most jerks were, but he wasn't great. He was a jerk in his own way. He didn't feel the need to be like that with Karin, nor did he really want to. "I will have plenty of fun here," he said, rolling over to his stomach. "Don't try and make me feel bad, because it won't work." He placed his arms around his head and rested his forehead on his forearms, his back muscles fairly visible. "You're a big girl, you can handle that forest," he said, his voice sounding muffled. "But you're not leaving anyway."
He knew better than to think that. It was all just a ploy and he was having fun going along with it. "You don't have to make up excuses," he said, teasing. "I'm not that dumb." He turned his head to face her, resting the one side on his arms. "If you want to hang around me, fine." He shrugged. "I have no objections, but there will be consequences in the end." At that point, he was being serious. Bad things normally followed him around and with Thanatos still lurking around the corner, he never knew what to expect. "I've told you about things, so you know, but... just remembered. I warned you."
With that being said, his serious demeanor disappeared. He knew she would probably stick around no matter what he said and in a way, it kind of reminded him of Salena. He wasn't opposed to Karin sticking around though. He liked it. He was silent after hearing what she said, but not because he was taken aback or unsure of what to do. He laughed slightly, a playful look in his gray eyes. "Only eighty percent sure, huh?" he asked, his grin returning. "I think you're lying about that last twenty percent. I think you're just worried I'll reject you or something," he said, turning back over onto his back. "But hey, I could be wrong. Maybe you're just weird." [/blockquote]

"Oh Kaige. Kaige, Kaige, Kaige. One thing you must know! I don't put up with a whole lot of shit. If it comes down to it and you start annoying me, I just might leave." She smiled. "I doubt that you are the annoying type, though. And even if I did leave, I'd probably come back." She said that last sentence very seriously. She wanted him to know that even though they just met, she didn't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.
She listened to his warning, but she just scoffed. "I'm not just some weak chap who can't handle a burdened situation. I've delt with my fair share of scary things in my life... but I handle it. And whatever happens, happens. I know the choices I'm making. It's my decision to keep them."
She thought about if this wolf ever returned, and what he would do. If she could help it, she would want to fight him. She would want to fight beside Kaige. It was weird how she was already feeling protective over him. Maybe it just had something to do with how much he reminded her of Dagger. Of maybe it was because was just possibly could have liked Kaige more than just a little.
She crossed her arms, aggitated. She couldn't understand why he was playing around when she seriously just wanted to pucker up and kiss him... just once. She rolled her eyes. This game was fun, but it was starting to feel a little rediculous. "You arn't going to make me wrestle you for that kiss, are you?" She asked with a devious grin.
She sighed, and rolled her eyes. "Fine." She exhaled, then in a flash of devious behavior, she managed to tumble across the grass, landing just on top of Kaige, her rump sitting gently across his stomach. She looked down at him with a curious smile, and pushed the hair away from her face. "If you are going to reject me, then hurry it up. I've got plants to water."

"Whatever you say," Kaige said with a shrug, gazing up at the sky. If she was really speaking the truth, then it was a nice change. She wasn't the type of person who put up with crap. It was nice to hear that she would come back, too. Salena, on the otherhand, would stick around him no matter what he did or said, although he was surprised she actually listened to him for once. Maybe she was finally on her way to changing and moving on.
He said nothing as she went on about her little speech. He knew he couldn't do or say anything to change her mind, not that he was really trying to. She was kind of like him in a way, but not completely. He couldn't put up with another version of himself. He could barely put up with himself as it was.
"Mm... no, no I'm not going to make you do that," he said, smiling faintly. "Unless you want me to. I could try, but..." His voice trailed off and he laughed quietly. He was sure she'd be able to put up a good fight if she didn't kick his ass. He didn't really know what to expect with her and he enjoyed it. He was taken aback when she landed on him, almost visibly jumping. He hadn't seen that one coming.
"Good god, you way a ton," he joked. "I think I'm about to suffocate." In one quick movement, he reversed the situation. He was now above her, both legs on either side of hers with his upper body hovering over hers. "You think you're sneaky, don't you?" he asked, one brow arched, his face only inches from hers. "Well, you're free to go if you want. I'm not keeping you here against your will. [/blockquote]
