The Capital Building
Most people visiting Riku Haru would explain its capital building as a tall sky scraper built onto the side of a mountain. However, if you knew its history, you would know that the building, and the city itself, came to be completely on accident. The capital building happened after a large cruise ship plowed into the island. Because of its sharp blades meant to cut through sandbars, the ship dug half way through the mountain. It then became wedged within it.
The crash killed most of the passengers. Over time, the remaining survivors made Camauren their home, beginning a new city. They built onto the ship with broken materials from other sunken ships scattered among the sandbars. Today, You can walk straight through the mountain, just inside the capital building, which is by far the largest building in Camauren.
The capital building, also known as the Unsinkable Marie, named after the cruise ship it was made from, is by far the most important building in Riku Haru. It doubles as a hospital, wedding chapel, military base, cafeteria, library, funeral home, hotel, and as a political meeting hall. The leader and their family also lives here, at the highest and safest point in the Unsinkable Marie.
