Taikai Ueki is a densly forested area of the region with few natural water sources, but plenty of rain. The trees in this forest are tall and strong. Very rarely will you find a fallen tree amonst the forest. Ferns litter the ground, along with many exotic plantlife, as well as animal life. Spider webs glitter the tree tops after a morning dew, and sap stains the trees a golden hue. Light surpisingly reaches the forest floor with ease, trapping its plants in a heavenly glow. Many trails extend their way through the forest, both man made and natural, and lined with toadstools.
The closer you reach to the center of the forest, the more variety of wild flowers begin to appear and the thinner the trees get until they open up into a flat clearing. It is here that the City rooted its home, built above the wild flowers and around the trees on wooden platforms and boardwalks to preserve the natural beauty it holds. Two small lakes are settled within this city, one of which the Leader built his home above.
The buildings are mostly made of wood, a few being partially stone. All are carved with amazing artistry, and the artistry can easily be seen in its people as well. There is a life in this city like no other, and its beauty is reflected in the bouncing sun beams.
Although the city can be hard to reach, especially because the wild toadstools let out a spore that confuses travelors, it hasn't stopped people from trying. Rangers constantly roam the forests, watching out for anyone who may have lost their way. The scariest part of the forest itself is not the tall, confusing trees and double crossing paths. It is the bugs. The BIG bugs.
Outside of the "Enchanted Trees" of Taikai Ueki, the forest becomes a safe, unconfusing patch of trees. These are the hunting grounds. The forest is much thinner here, with just the few man made trails to lead the way. Many animals roam this area of the forest, from the large to the small, all looking for a place to hide or live. Elk, deer, moose, coyotes. rabbits, and much more make the hunting grounds their home.
And of course, the prey do not go without being hunted by something other than humans. There are many hungry bugs here too. Big bugs. REALLY big bugs. Most of the bugs are the size of a large dog, which hunt rabbits and other small prey. Some, however, are the size of a man, or slightly larger. While most of the bugs here are harmless, more apt to attack each other than a person, there are a few man-eaters, such as the Greenfang spider. You are only really in trouble if you stumble across a nest.
